Infrastructure/Capital Projects

The Minneapolis area pilot program has awarded $16.7 million to finance 39 capital projects. Capital projects are contributing to mode shift by adding more than 75 miles to the bicycle network, increasing safety for pedestrians at numerous locations, and creating more bicycle transportation through a large and growing bicycling sharing program. Projects funded through the BWTC pilot have doubled Minneapolis on-street bicycle facilities.
