Safe Routes
Reducing health problems, increasing achievement, and connecting kids and families to their communities--all these and more come from biking and walking. The Youth and Safe Routes program provides biking and walking encouragement, activities, and safety education. We all have the power to help young people get around greener, healthier, happier, and safer.
Bike Walk Ideas & Ways We Can Help:
> Organize a biking or walking day or field trip at your school, community group or place of worship
> Start a biking or walking safety program, host a class, or get a walking lesson plan
> Organize a community event to encourage people to walk or bike
> Assess your area's walkability or bikability
> Sign-up for training to learn ways to help young people walk and bike safely.
We can help you design something specific to your community and needs. If you don't know what to do call us. That's what we are here for!
