Bike Walk CountersBike Walk Counters

Last year, Bike Walk Twin Cities volunteers conducted over 30 counts of bicyclists and pedestrians in the Twin Cities area. Combining these results with the city of Minneapolis Department of Public Works provided information on to 100 locations in and around Minneapolis.

This year, Bike Walk Twin Cities is looking to conduct counts at 40 locations on September 8 and September 9 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. We are seeking your help again to continue the success of the count program that is a vital piece of program measurement for us, the city, and region.

Participants this year will need to attend one of our 45 minute training sessions. We are improving a few count procedures so we need to bring all counters up to date on these changes. At the training, you will receive count materials and a new T-shirt. Additionally all counters will be eligible for prizes and be invited to a TLC-hosted celebration after the counts are completed.

I hope we can COUNT on you to help out this year!
