Griggs Street Bikeway Public Meeting
Griggs Street Bikeway
January brings with it the final two scheduled public meetings on the Griggs Street Bikeway. The first is a community meeting on January 10, where you can hear about the final design proposal and ask questions of staff in an informal setting. Central Corridor Resource Center (1080 University Avenue)
The second is a City Council public hearing on January 18, where you can tell the City Council how you feel about the project before they decide whether to approve it. Saint Paul City Hall
The Griggs Street Bikeway is a project funded through the federal Non-Motorized Transportation Pilot Program (for $362,000) to provide improved bicycle and pedestrian accommodations on Griggs Street. Existing bike routes on Summit and Minnehaha will be connected via the improved Griggs route. As recommended in the Bike Walk Central Corridor Action Plan, Griggs Street will serve as a regional route and as an alternative to Lexington Parkway.
