Northeast Minneapolis is celebrating Presidents' Day in a exciting way! Northeast has always had a special connection to Presidents' Day because of the many streets named after our presidents. Join your neighbors for the 2nd Annual two-mile "We LOVE Our Presidents" Walk. In addition to the walk, the event features a coloring contest with cash-prize awards, presidential trivia and history, snacks, hot cocoa, coffee, and a chili lunch.

The celebration kicks off at 10 a.m. at the Firefighters Hall & Museum, 664 - 22nd Ave. NE. Walkers leave the Hall and hike along 22nd Avenue to Windom Park, 2251 Hayes NE, for one warm-up stop and hot cocoa. The walk continues to Northeast Middle School, 2955 Hayes NE, for fun activities, a chili lunch ($5.00), Northeast history, and a short program at 11:15.

Hoping to provide a free shuttle that will bring walkers back to the Firefighters Museum after the program.
