What does an infusion of dedicated funding for bicycling and walking transportation look like?

From Joan Pasiuk, BWTC

BWTC is nearing the end of the sixth year of the pilot program. In the Minneapolis area the infusion of dedicated bike/walk funding is creating an expanded network.

And easy access to bicycles for more trips.

And walking all year.

We are making plans for 2012 - a culminating year for the pilot. Watch for: openings of at least two more bicycle boulevards, connection from the University of Minnesota Transitway trail to bridge #9 heading into downtown Minneapolis, completion of bicycle and pedestrian improvements from Roseville to the St. Paul campus, more bicycle parking in numerous communities (including St. Anthony, Columbia Heights, Golden valley, Fridley, Edina, and St. Paul), and more.
