This 2 mile long bike blvd includes the region's first bicycle signal (to cross Broadway Ave), numerous traffic circles, and other traffic calming treatments. Ties into 5th S SE which has a contra flow lane for bicyclists and leads to The UM Campus with a bike/ped bridge over 35W. (see before photo below where 5th St NE dead ended at Broadway - it is now through for bikes and peds but not cars.)
