Richfield Arterials

This study will examine how to accommodate bicyclists and on four major roads: Lyndale, Portland, Nicollet and Penn Avenues.

Oliver Avenue Bicycle Street

This project will pave a 1000-foot stretch of road to create a walking/biking path (Madison Park Trail) along Hwy. 62 and a bicycle boulevard on Oliver Avenue in Richfield. Project includes a raised crosswalk and signs.

Richfield Parkway Stage 2 Pedestrian/Bikeway Trail

This project will construct a walking/biking trail on the west side of Richfield Parkway to 63rd Street and also continue the trail through the Park to 62nd Street in Richfield. A raised median will be built where the trail crosses the new Parkway, which will help people cross the street more safely. A public gathering space will also be provided.

Minneapolis Bike & Pedestrian Ambassador Program

In 2007 the City of Minneapolis received funding to start a Bike Walk Ambassador program which in partnership with the Bike Walk Twin Cities and other community partners, encourages people in Minneapolis and neighboring communities to bike and walk more and drive less.
